According to Norman Vincent Peale:
1. Learn to remember names.
2. Don’t be egotistical. Be careful not to give the impression that you know it all. Be natural and normally humble.
3. Cultivate the quality of being interesting so that people will want to be with you and get some stimulating value from their association with you.
4. Never miss an opportunity to say a word of congratulations on someone’s achievement or to express sympathy in sorrow or disappointment.
5. Practice liking people until you learn to do so genuinely. Remember what Will Rogers said, “I never met a man I didn’t like.”
