Glenn DeWeirdt

Dr. DeWeirdt is a native of Wheaton Il. He graduated from Wheaton- Warrenville High School where he participated unsuccessfully in football, wrestling, and track. He founded Hobson Dental Associates in 1984 following graduation from Northwestern University Dental School. He is very active in organized dentistry. He is Chairman of the Board of Managers and a volunteer dentist for the Chicago Dental Society Foundation Clinic, a not-for-profit free dental clinic serving the underprivileged sponsored by the Chicago Dental Society and has served on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Dental Society Foundation. He is a former member and served on the board of directors for Contemporary Dental Forum, a component of the Seattle Study Club, a prestigious invitation-only group of dentists achieving in the top 10% of clinicians nationwide. Dr. DeWeirdt is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, this invitation-only organization is dedicated to continuing clinical and socially responsible excellence in the dental profession. He has also been voted by peer dentists as one of Chicago’s Best Dentists in Chicago Magazine and is listed in America’s Top Dentists. Dr. DeWeirdt is one of less than 2% of general dentists nationwide who routinely use the dental operating microscope when treating patients. He is an active lecturer on this topic and has spoken to dentists at Dental Schools, numerous dental organizations, and at many national dental meetings and conventions. He is a consultant and speaker for Zeiss-Meditec, an internationally recognized manufacturer of world-class optics, Dentsply Sirona Endodontics, and FirstFit, the first one-appointment digital restorative corporation in the dental industry. Additionally, Dr. DeWeirdt is an Adjunct Faculty member at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. This commitment to excellence is a great benefit to his patients. Dr. DeWeirdt has four adult children and lives with his wife Laurie, an executive with IBM, in Darien,IL. He is an avid automobile enthusiast and raced competitively with the Porsche Club of America. He is also a National High Performance Driving instructor for Porsche Club of America, Sports Car Club of America, BMW Club, and Extreme Experience.
