Dr. Anthony D. Viazis, Founder of Fastbraces®, is the American orthodontist in Dallas, Texas USA who invented and patented the original bracket system behind FASTBRACES® Technologies. He holds two dental degrees, one from the University of Athens in Greece and one from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. He earned his Masters of Science degree as well as his Graduate Certificate in the specialty of orthodontics at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Viazis has published textbooks and numerous scientific articles and has lectured extensively worldwide. He held academic faculty positions at the University of Minnesota, Baylor College of Dentistry and the University of Southern California in the USA and was a Visiting Professor of the University of São Paulo, Bauru in Brazil. The Award he is most proud of is the “Teacher of the Year” of the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry, given to him after his very first year of teaching. Dr. Viazis founded the FASTBRACES® orthodontic offices and grew them to a total of 15 locations in the State of Texas as part of his private practice operations. He subsequently created Orthoworld®, the company that licenses the FASTBRACES® brands and products to dentists worldwide and later joined the Dean’s Advisory Board at Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he served for a few years. As President of Orthoworld®, he leads the team of doctors that provide doctor-to-doctor support worldwide and has dedicated his life to helping dentists bring the technology of FASTBRACES® to children and adults all over the world.
